Terms and conditions General By ordering from Acoustichef you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Trading Hours Our trading hours are:
Monday – Friday 09:00 – 19:00 Saturdays 09:00 – 16:00 Sundays 07:00 – 10:00 Public Holidays 07:00 – 10:00
Cake Orders
We require at least 1-week lead time for all orders to be made. All customised orders (cake toppers, specific writing) must be requested for at least 5-days in advance.
Payment
A 50% deposit is required from when the booking is made. The remaining balance can be payed cash or by immediate payment on the day of collection. All prices are subject to change based on any additions, subtractions, and special requirements.
Pictures
Please note that pictures sent are used as guidelines and does not necessarily mean the final product will look identical.
Changes to order
Once the order has been confirmed, changes can be made up to 2-days prior to collection. This may change the original quote.
Cancellations
Cancellations may be made up to 2-days before collection date. Any cancellations made within the 2-days of collection will result in the forfeit of the deposit. If you need to change the date of your order, please contact us at least 2-day before the day of collection. Last minute order Any order made within 2-days of the collection day will come with an additional surcharge of R50.00. Refunds and Returns Refunds or replacement orders to the same value will be given only if you receive the incorrect product or if the products are shown to be of unsatisfactory quality. Should this be the case, the product should be returned on the same day in full. No refund will be provided if the product in question is not returned to us for inspection on the same day.
Deliveries
We offer deliveries at an additional cost within a 40Km radius. Should you require this service please request when order is being made to ensure that arrangements can be made if possible. Deliveries are between 10:00 – 16:00 on the date specified in your order. Please ensure someone is available to receive order upon delivery. If there is no one to receive the order we will try our best to leave the order in a safe place (neighbours, reception, caretaker, etc.) We cannot keep the order for redelivery, and it will be left at the address given to us. Alternatively, the order will be returned to the bakery for collection. Acoustichef cannot be held liable for any damages or mishandling once the order has been delivered.Should you wish to collect your order, we cannot be held liable for any damages that occurs in transit.
All wedding cakes have a free delivery within a 40km radius regarded that they are 3-tiers or more.
Collections
Details of the person collecting the product need to be given to us prior to the day. All collections need to be made within the company’s business hours, if unable to do so please make alternative arrangements prior to the day of collection.
Product Care
Once you have collected your product, inspect it to ensure that you have the correct one. The product is to be transported on a flat surface under air-conditioning as icing or cream can melt. Warm conditions can alter the form of the product. Please make sure your cake is refrigerated immediately to avoid melting and collapsing. Depending on the outside conditions, some cakes might require a quick freeze for 5 minutes before placing them in the normal refrigerator.
Allergies
Please note that our products are prepared in a kitchen that has allergens such as milk, gluten, nuts and bananas. Please be careful of non-edible items that may have been used on the cake such as dowel sticks that may be placed in the cake to stabilise decorations or the cake itself it.

Please note that we require the name; contact details as well as address (for those requesting delivery) to process all orders.
